Small selection of reviews from the site of Gaia readers to do, and give me (!)
Liberation "In Beijing, where they" saw the dictatorship of capitalism at the same time as that of communism, "the monasteries in Tibet," where the blood flowed and where the door is open usual now kept closed to the world by a police escort, "the people we met on this journey improvised than not seem as mysterious to the Western eye: the Labrang monk "shining a quiet and peaceful," the Uygur family and his sense of hospitality, the harshness of the Tibetan Reception and especially want to know the certainty of the other baffle and reassure the manner of the few drivers who stop to lay crossed "in the icy air handfuls of small multicolored papers that spread into a colored cloud" and leave immediately. "
The blitz is Clara does not evade the political question. No preconceived answers, questions first. The portraits are so warm that it seems to share les instants privilégiés. »
This body wrap cleanliness, diluted in the capacity of dirt daily. ""
Posters - Monitor "A superb text, in tune with an unforgettable experience."
page Booksellers' The Journey Through China Greater Western Arnaud young Clara (On the roads of China, Gaia) would very likely mark the debut of travel literature (or literature at all) a very promising author. It leads us, along with his two horses pack in the country Uighur, the Tibetan plateau, to meet the charming people of a complex country, and his sense of the description and fineness of introspective analysis breath away. She leads with passion on the winding roads and a muddy rural China, far removed from the clichés of mass media, political and tourism. "
491" In the line of passenger travel, Clara Arnaud us a beautifully written story and great humanity. "
Rider" An extraordinary experience. "
Freedom" In the wake of Ella Maillart Clara Arnaud has penetrated the depths of the country to go in Western riding, backpacking. This gives a factual narrative, stripped away any romance. [...] The style is elegant as the language here, sometimes fills the vast solitude of a French woman in China. "

Sanked Outbord What To Do
their opinions on the roads of China on the roads of France .....
Hello
A little note on the blog because I find that curious tendency to come and make a detour for some to go before throwing a glance at my book. Actually, this blog was originally intended for family, friends, and then it became over the road a reassuring contact with France, and a means of effective communication, and why not, a way to live the book. It's ungrateful out of a book, all this work, and then all you miss, it says, is critical or we love: exciting but sometimes a little difficult!
I am currently doing a small tour of festivals and bookstores that are willing to welcome me to my greatest happiness because I meet so many people, making life nearly two years after the return of the spirit trip, leaving the chance to guide the meetings. As a means to share a little experience of China, a word on the Uighurs who to my dismay not entitled to the abundant literature and to the same media attention as Tibet. Attention entirely legitimate, and we can not relax for a great people, a harsh land victime d'une colonisation destructrice, mais qui fait oublier d'autres destins tout aussi tragiques.
Même si le sujet de mon livre n'était pas la politique, la rencontre au gré de la route avec Uighur peasants surrounded by factories and freeways that are built in a few months, Tibetan monks who experienced the repression of March 2008, despite the Chinese workers sent them to build these highways that cut into the ground to bring Tibetan trucks and repression, recessed led me to think about the oppressive Chinese regime, the insidious destruction of the soul of the peoples of China, historically multicultural. That is why I am, especially in collaboration with a review of geopolitics soberly entitled The Review, to get back to writing about literature from the path that I taken at the time, and with hindsight.
That's what leads me to accept too many invitations and friendly meetings, and follow the road in France. Thus, at the Comedy
Book Montpellier I've shared my lunch with a camélologue, a leading expert of the camel, among other unannounced games. Thus I discovered and read with joy the first comics reader of my life, following my meeting with the team south to act Comics Festival here and elsewhere on the port of Brest (A taxi named Nadir East, Northeast, Actes Sud).
I'll be at the end of the week in Paris to discuss with all the curious book, Tibet, China, Central Asia, travel on horseback and other matters from now on. See you June 11 from 18h to 20h Directions to the library, 60 rue Saint Honoré for an informal meeting around the book. www.itineraires.com
Or in Lille on June 12 from 14h to 19h with a slide projection of the trip to 17h, bookstores around the world, 65 rue de Paris. contact@autourdumonde.biz
And finally on June 26 at the bookstore at Vezelay Gold Star, at 20h for a screening and debate on the trip. After
, for me it's back to basics, then to Central Asia, and two months Tajikistan (unknown small state just north of Afghanistan) looming.
