Kamares Cave (Massif Psiloritis)
Located on the southern slopes of the massif of Psiloritis in the central part of Crete, Kamares cave was an important shrine to Minoan times. She can be reached easily from the north but the south is by joining a sportier ride, the altitude exceeding 1100 m. In addition, the route of many boulders, even if it follows the early long-distance footpath E4 materialized by poles present at intervals more or less regular. Between them, it should however be careful because the cairns are not always present in some portions of the route.

After 30 years of absence, we have indeed gone back to this island which is much more than its beaches for tourists only. They are without doubt a real attraction, but the country abounds in many other riches. In particular, even if the altitudes are in no way comparable to what can be achieved in our region, the mountainous character of the island is indisputable and peaks everywhere. Their faces are often dug deep furrows and some of these grooves are all objectives of hiking.

At 'Unlike many gorges like Martsalo that descend directly into the sea and are often at low altitude, others like Rouvas require a little more effort. Located on the heights of Zoras (350 m), south-eastern Massif Psiloritis, the route goes mostly the bed of a small stream at end of dry season. The plot is laid out in places and route seems obvious; markup, panels and cairns to reorient themselves when necessary. It leads to a green area near the chapel of Agios Ioannis located about 1000 meters.
