Chaired by Bernard Westerveld, pastor of the Reformed Church of Sainte-Foy, the linchpin of the committee is Stefan Jetchick, one of the leaders in Quebec City, Christian Heritage Party and the site www.inquisition.ca (if If only!). These people are dangerous. We reject their religious delusion!
For the right to abortion
Women's right to choose is in our view a very important conquest. This is only 20 years that abortion is decriminalized in Canada. It is a fragile victory, and many pressure groups agitate behind the scenes to set us back on that. The right to choose to have (or not) of children (and when to have) seems essential in an advanced society. Pregnancy or parenthood, it is not trivial! It's not like children than requiring that each pregnancy regardless of context or completed. Besides, we all know that even when abortion was prohibited, it is still practiced in secret (which was extremely dangerous). We refuse to go back!
